Vannacht worden in Los Angeles de Oscars uitgereikt. Misschien valt Ariana Grande wel in de prijzen. Ze is genomineerd voor de Oscar voor beste vrouwelijke bijrol.
Ariana Grande is genomineerd voor haar rol in de film Wicked, waarin ze de goede heks Glinda speelt. Er zijn natuurlijk heel veel zangers en zangeressen die ooit voor een Oscar zijn genomineerd, maar de meeste ontvingen die nominatie voor de Oscar voor beste originele filmlied. Als we enkel kijken naar de Oscars voor acteerprestaties, dan blijven er veel minder over.
In totaal hebben er 24 soloartiesten in de Top 40 gestaan die ooit genomineerd zijn in de categorieën voor beste hoofdrol en beste bijrol: 13 vrouwen en 11 mannen.
